MAT-201 BASIC MATHEMATICS (3)
A remedial course for the person needing a strengthening of a weak mathematics background which exists either by reason of failing to take second year high school algebra or because of a poor performance in this subject.  Course content includes basic arithmetic of natural, integer, rational and real numbers and selected topics from algebra.

MAT-104 BEGINNING ALGEBRA (3)
Emphasis is given to structure and proof. Topics include real numbers and decimals, axiomatic treatment of number systems, algebraic structures, modular arithmetic, non-metric geometry, congruence and measurement.

MAT-204 BEGINNING CALCULUS (3)
Study topics include the derivative, the definite integral, and applications.
