Dr. Henry W. Roberts Jr.

Henry W. Roberts, Jr., through divine guidance, has obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Communication as well as a Master of Divinity.  Early in Pastor Roberts ministry, God led him to become a home missionary where he began planting churches wherever the Lord would lead.  He co-founded the Kelly Land Baptist Church in Alexandria, LA.  After the establishment of this body, he was sent to Flomington, Alabama and founded the Flomington Baptist Church.

Seeing the desperate need of a youth ministry in the area, he became the Dean of Students and Campus Minister at Southern Normal High School in Brewton, Alabama.  After obtaining tenure there, he was called to a larger campus at the Piney Woods Country Life School in Mississippi where he was able to serve once again in the same capacity.

Years later, the Lord moved Pastor Roberts back to Mobile.  Still under divine guidance, Pastor Roberts started a small Bible study in the home of a friend.  This act of obedience led to the establishment of the Word of Life Community Church where on July 18, 1992, the church held its first worship service with 11 people in attendance.

Today Pastor Roberts pastors the same Word of Life Community Church now with over 200 faithful in attendance.  He is a renowned teacher and speaker with a radio ministry that reaches out to thousands in the Mobile and surrounding areas.

Pastor Roberts is supported and accompanied by his loving and devoted wife, First Lady Sherry Roberts, and son Jeremy.  The Roberts are welcome another divine addition to their family.
